A School Love Story – Part 3 (Right Person, Right Time)
NEXT STAGE OF LIVE
After the reunion, Satish and Kavya started talking regularly.
This time, they were not school kids anymore.
Both were working, both had responsibilities, and both understood life better.
They started with simple messages.
“Reached home?”
“Had dinner?”
“How was your day?”
Slowly, those small messages became long conversations.
They spoke about school days, coaching class, bus stand, farewell day…
and also about the years they missed.
One day, Satish asked,
“Why didn’t you ever tell me in school?”
Kavya replied,
“I was scared…
If you said no, I would lose even your friendship.”
Satish smiled and said,
“I was also scared…
I thought you liked someone better than me.”
Both laughed.
Days passed.
One evening, Satish told his parents about Kavya.
At first, they were surprised.
“School love after so many years?”
But when they met Kavya, they liked her simplicity and respect.
On the other side, Kavya also told her parents about Satish.
Her parents already knew his name…
Because she had mentioned him many times during school days.
After both families spoke, they agreed to meet.
The meeting was simple, no drama, no movie style.
Satish and Kavya sat in the same room…
just like school days…
but this time, with families around.
Satish slowly said,
“So… this time also you want me to tell first?”
Kavya smiled and said,
“This time… I will say first.”
Everyone looked at them.
Kavya said,
“Yes… I like him.”
Satish laughed and said,
“I liked her from 9th standard… still liking… no change.”
Everyone in the room started laughing.
Within few months, their marriage was fixed.
On the wedding day, when Satish tied the knot, Kavya whispered,
“You took 10 years to propose.”
Satish replied,
“But I married the same girl I liked in school…
so it was worth waiting.”
Both smiled.
Later that evening, they went near their old school road.
Same road… same bus stand… same memories…
Kavya said,
“If you had proposed that day… life would be different.”
Satish replied,
“Yes… but maybe we needed time to understand that
we were meant for each other.”
They stood silently for a moment.
Not as teenagers…
Not as strangers…
But as two people whose love started in school…
got lost in time…
and came back stronger.
Some love stories are not late…
They just take the long way to reach the right ending. ❤️
